You are now at the crossroads of the monumental hat documentation of 2020 - 2025. We have been making hats in Oregon since 1978, time enough to accumulate a diverse collection of hat fabrics and line of hat styles. This web page and all its links are a reference towards that immense diversity. That’s why all the hats say, “$0” and “Sold Out”. Once upon a time these individual hats were for sale, now they exist as pure potential. You are welcome to inquire about any hat photograph, please send requests using the Hat Library Order Form at the bottom of this page.
Listen closely: this page is vast. It is not the place to make a quick and precise special order, go back to the various Catalog Pages on the Homepage for that. This page is instead primarily designed to mimic the experience of being in our hat booth at a festival or market in the Pacific Northwest. The idea is that you first use the Media page to learn your exact hat size and the Hat People Hat style(s) that are interesting to you. Equipped with this knowledge, you then peruse the links below. Mainly you will be looking at fabrics, but you may also be looking at compositions- Sports Caps are often a hat made from two different fabrics, and Multi Panel Touring Caps are often three or more fabrics together. Using the Hat Library Order Form at the bottom of this page, you will send us examples of fabrics and/or hat compositions that you like. We will use this information to find hats in your size / preferred styles / preferred fabrics in our current hat booth inventory. We have lots of hats and are always making new ones. Throughout the website, this purchase option is referred to as ~ Size Specific Ready Made ~ hats.
It is also possible for us to make you a Fabric Library Special Order Hat. Although this page is geared mainly towards people interested in our ~ Size Specific Ready Made ~ option, it can also be used to design a hat from uncut fabric. However, this option is not encouraged. We truly make the hats, and that means our ability is limited. Hat Library Special Orders might take a year to complete, or maybe… no promises… Hat booth inventory, ~ Size Specific Ready Made ~ requests, and Hat Catalog Special Orders, its a lot to do. These priorities serve the most customers, and have got us running at top speed most of the year.
But anyways, this page is quite the celebration. It is always a joy to see so much of our work in one place.

Why are the hats numbered?
(As you explore the links on this page you will quickly see the numbers in the title of each hat. All hats have names like, Sports Cap #222 or Touring Cap #007.)
Any hat number can be added to the order form right here and we can start a conversation about the perfect hat for you. Or, choose a few hat numbers if you like! With these hat numbers we will search ~ Size Specific Ready Made ~ options, or Fabric Library Special Order options. We probably do not have the exact fabric of the hat number you choose, but we might have something similar. The conversation will evolve naturally by phone, text, or email. Whatever you prefer. It is very possible this will lead to hat or two, just for you.
