The Insider is named for all the types of similar hats to this that are worn inside. This hat could be for just being around the house, getting dressed up with a smoking jacket, worn as the daily hat of a monk or scholar, or possibly something more whimsical. The outer material is Pendleton Wool, and has a fold down layer of unique mohair wool that covers your ears. The top of the hat has a sewn in loop where you can add beads, feathers, or a tassel if you wish.The loop is part of the construction of the hat, but the tassel currently on the hat can be easily cut off with a pair of scissors if w/out better fits your style. This hat style does not adjust to size, it is fitted at size 22 3/8”.
